ENGINEERING SERVICES
CUSTOM DESIGN:
We do not use a cookie cutter approach to meeting your needs. Minard Metal
Buildings works closely with each client to meet the project's individual
requirements. After extensive consultation, we develop drawings of the proposed
building for your approval. No construction begins until the drawings are
approved by you and returned to us
SYSTEM:
Our buildings are self-framing, Single span gable or shed type roof. Stability
is achieved with wall and roof panels forming an integral structural support.
The standard roof sloop or gable will be 4:12. All materials are free
from defects ensuring no deficiencies in strength, durability, and / or
appearance
MATERIALS:
We use only the highest quality materials. All foundation anchor bolts
will be of galvanized steel and will be sized for your specific load.
The self-supporting metal panel will be of galvanized steel, cold rolled
with minimum tolerances contained in the manufacturer's specifications.
Materials will conform to ASTM A653 material designation, zinc coating
and mechanical properties.
Roof and wall panels will be 20 inches wide, 3-inch leg with a rib formed
at each end to support wind or roof loads. Roof and wall panels of galvanized
steel are manufactured in one continuous length from base to eave for
wall panels, and ridge to eave for roof panels. Wall panels interlock
and secure with self-tapping screws. The base channel is secured to the
base with steel bolts and washers spaced not more than 20 inches apart.
Galvanized steel flashings, caps, top and based channels, ridges and drips
can be painted or unpainted as required to stabilize the system.
INSULATION AND LINING:
Minard Metal Buildings supplies and installs all thermal insulation to
a minimum value of R-12 in the roof and walls of the building. Insulation
will be fitted between the panel ribs. After installation the entire wall
and roof will be lined with 24 gauge fluted aluminum sheets or a galvanized
or painted steel liner sheet from 22 to 30 gauge.
